Vaaran vuosina ja koko kylmän sodan ajan Puolustusvoimat oli tiukilla taloudellisesti ja poliittisesti. Sissitoiminnassa nähtiin mahdollisuuksia. Myös uutiset maailmalta todistivat sen tehokkuutta. Sissitoiminta on tänään taas ajankohtaista. Marko Palokangas aloittaa Suomen Sotilaan sarjan sissitoiminnasta ja sissisodasta niin Suomessa kuin ulkomailla kertomalla kylmän sodan alkuvuosista Suomessa."
